Mahler’s Cinnamon Croissant French Toast

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Mahler’s Cinnamon Croissant bread

  • 2 eggs

  • ⅔ cup milk

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (Optional)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional)

  • salt to taste

 

 

Process

  • Step 1

Beat together egg, milk, salt, spices and vanilla

  • Step 2

Heat a lightly buttered griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Step 3

Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Immediately place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot.

Tips

Try not to let the bread sit in the mixture for too long before going to the pan.  Cut the slices in two so that they are easier to handle.  Make sure your pan is nice and hot before adding the French toast.
